"I really like it here. Sheila, the resident manager, is excellent. The people take good care of me and make sure I'm ready for my dialysis treatments three times a week. They help me dress, bathe, prepare for bed, and take my blood sugar.

"The food is excellent. They serve us the food we like. For instance, last night I wanted a Mineola orange, so they went out and bought some.

"The staff is very flexible. I have to eat late, at around midnight, so they have a piece of chicken or something for me. My brother also visits me late, about 8:30 p.m. Visitors can come as early or late as they want. If I can't make a doctor's appointment, they'll reschedule it for me.

"I feel they respect my privacy and let me come and go as I want. The food and the care I receive are very good. I feel like it is home to me."
